Rinsing salt

Post by Zbokowaniec »

Hi. I need some help. I'm building my first boka and I coiled 6 mm copper in two layers. About 7 meters of pipe. I put salt inside and it coiled beautifully and didn't kink. The problem is I can't get the salt out. Is there any helpful solution? I put it into a tank with water hoping it dissolves but to no avail so far. Any suggestions please?

Water pressure works well to clear salt, plum it up to a tap and let the water push through.

Using hot water helps too....it keeps the brine’s viscosity a little lower.

The salt starter to appear outside the other side of the pipe,
so sooner or later it will be rinsed out. Thanks a lot.

Works perfectly. It took a couple of hours, but works. Thanks a million.

Same happened to me and probably everyone who used salt. It takes a while, but inevitably dissolves and blows through just fine.

I had the same problem. I happened to have a garden pressure sprayer. the hose fit over 1/4 " pipe perfectly. I filled it with hot water, and pumped up the pressure and left it for about 2 hours. It was done perfectly when I checked it.

It took 4 weeks of constant connection to my garden hose to blow through the salt on my double coil condenser  . I was about to throw it in the bin and start again when it erupted.
