Re: Oldest Bar
I'll buy a few T-shirts! You'd probably be surprised how many folks you'd meet that would ask "so, what'd you make today"?

Re: Oldest Bar
I have a friend that makes custom t-shirts I can have them made for a good price if we can put an order together I'm sure I could talk him into doing it for cost . But it would have to be at least 4 or 5 dozen order. And we have to agree on what we want them to say.

Could save a lot of awkward chit chat at the supermarket with your trolley of sugar .
But gotta wonder if the local sherrif would put out an APB on folk wearing HD tee-shirts
Maybe not wear it when you are buying supplies

I think it would work .....profits would have to go toward the running of the forum .....I'll put in an order for 2 right now ......size to be conformed if the idea ever comes to fruition.

Re: Home Distiller T-shirts
One for HD would be great!
I have two stilling shirts that I wear often.
Here they are: Info:
https://www.cafepress.com/profile/hobby ... ssociation" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" rel="nofollow
https://hobbydistillersassociation.org/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" rel="nofollow
From my man Jesse with Chase the Craft / Still It. Info:
https://teespring.com/en-GB/stores/stillit" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" rel="nofollow
https://chasethecraft.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" rel="nofollow
It would be a good idea to get some designs posted that we could vote on.
I suggest posting some designs here, then getting one or two designs over to cafe press or tee spring.
All in favor?
Cheers
Irish

I'm pretty sure something like this was the inspiration behind the S3 T-shirt

Re: Home Distiller T-shirts
In a previous life I was in the ad specialty business including tee shirts.
Kept my hand in it a bit although my graphic design skills are a bit rusty.
Often when clients asked for white or heather grey, I would suggest they also consider a Natural, unbleached "color" shirt.
IN MY OPINION, it has a better look.
That being said, I was playing with a couple of things including a "borrowed" design I played with a little. This is on a pocket tee and the only problem with those is the design has to be very small: And more borrowed art for the back: I'm pretty sure could get this done for a reasonable cost (plus shipping) as a fund raiser for the site.
I'd appreciate feedback if you're interested.

Re: Home Distiller T-shirts
The problem with that back is it is anything but discrete. It shouts loud and clear "HEY LOOK AT ME I'M A MOONSHINER!" and could get people raided and arrested. The beauty of the S3 design is it is very discrete and you have to be in the know to know what it means.TDick wrote:I'd appreciate feedback if you're interested.
For those who may not know S3 stands for "Secret Stilling Society" and would be an easy way to tell others in the know that you are one of them without shouting it from the roof tops.

Re: Home Distiller T-shirts
I think the answer comes from one of the first post shirts should say
SO WHAT DID YOU MAKE TODAY? H. D.
I also agree any and all profits go to the site it seems to be enough interest to keep moving forward. What ever the final design put me down for two extra large.

That's a great shirt and keeps us out of trouble our inside joke. And put the H.D. logo on the front.

I love this. I think the site name should all be lower case, but I am not an ad professional.TDick wrote: ↑Thu Aug 01, 2019 6:13 pm In a previous life I was in the ad specialty business including tee shirts.

I’m definitely in for some of the shirts. Like the pocket HD logo with What did you make today on reverse. Simple and effective.

Re: Home Distiller T-shirts
there was a t-shirt company that butch used for truckin' butch s3:17....y'all settle on a design and submit to them, there is a window to order them then the company produces them.
that way each individual remains anonymous to the forum and you don't have to worry about sending money to some random and hoping you get a t shirt at some undetermined point in the future.
seemed a very professional way of accomplishing the goal. maybe they even ship worldwide.
now, if i could just remember the name of the company....
by the way the HD logo looks great. i'm into less is more, so just the logo imho...if you need more then the "what did you make today" on the back.

Re: Home Distiller T-shirts
i'm suggesting the third party t-shirt company link, as this is close to soliciting money for and advertising products/services, which is not allowed on the forum.
It will surely be shut down if there is a cash call to any given member.

I'd definitely buy and rock a HD t-shirt.
Btw, I have a sublimation printer and heat press.
I could handle an order of a few dozen easily.
Can I be involved?

Even if a portion of the money went towards running the site?
Seems theres a little room for interpretation there if we are talking about something that helps keep this place up and running.

+1 for the HD logo.
Not a big fan of the art on the back tho.

Since this thread is active again, I think a shirt should:
- not explicitly say HomeDistiller.org
- should contain something that users of the site will know like: "What'd ya'll make today?" or "Tried and True"
- should have a nice logo or image that could direct someone only partially in the know to the right conclusion

I think it would be best to keep it simple. Tdick's front pocket logo and "What'd ya'll make today?" on the back in the same font would be ideal IMHO.
At this point, I may just have my wife make it with her cricket.
Cheers,

donations of course are very much welcome, now that you mention it, i notice the donate button has disappeared on the forum....that's curious.Hillbilly Popstar wrote: ↑Mon Dec 30, 2019 8:05 pmEven if a portion of the money went towards running the site?

time and again an innocent project will start, money will change hands and then something bad happens. no one here wants to bear responsibility for someone else's lost cash. i've seen it happen in these pages.
then of course, the whole no ads thing. it's nice to be here without pop ups and ad banners all over...even a tapatalk ad at the bottom of a post is met with hostility.
so no, i doubt there is latitude but it ain't my call. I just think a 3rd party company solves the issues simply and effectively.
