New source of sweet feed gone bad

Finally found a new source of sweet feed. Or so I thought a guy that I bought it from the local feed store assured me that it was just corns oats barley and molasses. After opening the bag there are pellets with some corn and other grains. Very disappointing! Ever since TSC stop selling their all grain it's been very hard to come by. Found a tag at the bottom of the bag didn't see it when I picked it up.

Is this safe to use?

I cant speak with authority on the chemistry.
But not long ago I used ^^this^^ sweet feed with pellets that made a great wash.
I believe some pellets contain alfalfa grass, protein supplements, and possibly preservatives that are to be avoided.
But some of them are just ground up grains mushed into pellet form, they can be a pita to filter and rack, but otherwise work fine.

Thanks Hillbilly,
Been searching this topic for about 2 days and haven't found anything that resembles the ingredients list. Thought I'd give it a go anyway better than throwing it to the squirrels. Did you squeeze it to separate or just take off the top liquid and leave the rest for the next batch?

I squeezed.

Type the brand name into the HD Google search bar.
Odds are if its sold publicly, someone on here has tried to make wihiskey with it. You'll likely find reports of how well it worked.

I tried that first, came up with nothing. Found something similar in a thread called horse feed moonshine they said it worked very well but was a pain to filter. As of been reading with all sweet feed with pellets.

Thanks

Is there any all grain sweet feed?
Have thought about missing my own but barley is too expensive for my budget.

Try searching other Tractor Supply stores. Out the 4 in my area only one has the all grain. That is if you have other stores to choose from

Corn, oats, barley, molasses. Make your own. Probably will be better since you will know the grain quality and amounts. I’d start with the same amounts of each, then adjust up or down from there with subsequent runs.

that is a long list of ingredients, the last of which is the most troubling.

i'm with 8Ball that cob, and molasses without all the additives is a better bet.

try what you have if you don't have stock to feed. nothing to lose by trying

but time because the money is already spent.
