Advise on ordering parts from China

Hi All,

I have recently discovered Aliexpress and the huge variety of extremely cheap still parts there. Very exciting!

I have spent a lot of cash and time trying to wind my own coil condenser - i could probably get it right now based on my previous trial and error but for basically the same price i can order one from China and be guaranteed it'll work - plus it'll be neat and fit properly etc. I am fairly determined not to give winding another one a go at least for now - really cant face sinking any more cash into it. (I did wind one out of gas line - but i will need to get a reducer and some wider pipe as it doesn't sit nicely inside the 2" pipe - again this will cost more than just buying a correctly sized one from china)

While looking around the site i was also wondering if it would be worth updating the rest of my still while i am ordering anyway as i would save loads on the postage etc. I basically rushed into building it (as probably most foolish people do). I've got plenty of 2" pipe around so i could basically leave the current setup as it is for stripping runs etc.

I am wondering if it would be worth (A) buying a copper of SS coil condenser and (B) maybe a rectification module while i am at it (liebling condenser, needle valve, temperature sensor all in one). The condenser and ball valve on my current setup were made and given to me by a plumber friend so haven't sunk much into them and thinking they cant be ideal for fine control - and i could as i said earlier keep them for stripping runs.

(A)Copper condensing coil or SS ?

SS with site glass (what is the point in this other than looking cool as hell): https://tinyurl.com/ycdq2umk

(B) if i do go for the rectification module would it be worth getting the more expensive of these two - guess i am getting this primarily for the needle valve so maybe not worth it? I am not 100% sure i understand what the section of the expensive one does that isn't the site glass - something to do with controlling Vabour/Liquid equilibrium i'd imagine although not sure?

Definitely want a site tower just because of how cool they are so if i got the cheaper one could also get one of these: https://tinyurl.com/y8etrzaj
