Help Reviewing Controller Box Plan - 240v

Post by WithOrWithoutU2 »

I have read a ton and think I am ready to try and make my first controller for 240v 6500w Element. I would appreciate help review the below parts list to ensure each part will support the final project and work together as a whole. I have also include a rough diagram how I plan to wire it together. The Red, Black and Green wires will be the 10/3 from the power and out to element. The other colored wires will be the smaller gauged wire to connect. I know the diagram is not how a real electrical diagram should be drawn but it is how I envision it.

Note: I read the ground wire does not have to be connected to the box if it is grounded into the element for a tri-clamp. But I have seen them grounded to the SSR as well. I can do it however is suggested. Thank you for your review and advice in advance.

PS. I have this also posted in another older thread about adding second pot to SD controller box. I decided to start a separate thread given this is significantly more than just adding a second pot to SDs kit.
