Double worm from one still pot.

Hi all.

First post and beginning stages of my first run. (Sorry for the long post in advance)

The set up: 9.6 Gallon Stainless steel flat lid pot still with one gallon condenser setup purchased on Amazon. I already notice some things wrong here but more on that later.

The mash: 12 lbs Corn Flakes( process to meal) and 6 lbs table sugar. 1 packet of 24 hr. Turbo yeast in a 6 gallon Brew Ohio bucket.

Initial Test/run: I assembled the still per the instructions. 1/2 in. copper bent and reduced to 1/4" copper 3 loop coil. Filled the pot with one gallon tap water (Ph 8.5) and the condenser with ice. Turned the stove and waited. Almost immediately the pot started bucking like a bull at a rodeo. Once I added water to the condenser pot it seemed to calm down. Shortly there after I was distilling water. That small condenser got way to hot for the short time it was under heat. So after about 2 in. of water in the jar I pulled it and added a second jar....let it run till i had about 2" and shut the whole still down. The water cooled down and I tested the water again and it was (Ph 4.9)...Big difference. I also tasted this water and it definitely had a copper taste on the back end. (ive not cleaned this still with the water/vinegar yet nor the sacrificial run either)

My mod: Used some of the existing hardware and went from that small condenser/container to one inside of a 5 gallon bucket with 8 coils of 1/4 copper tubing submerged in 4 gal. of cold re-circulation water. I'm using the rule of 3rds here. So increasing the condenser container to hold at least 3 1/2 Gallons of water. This seemed to help with the condensers heating issue.

My question: Could I duplicate the hardware and run 2 condensers from this same flat top pot? This idea seems to be viable and would seem like it would give me the same result as a single 1/2in. single tube coming from the lid. I could run each into a separate bucket and have both return water to the same ice water receptacle and 2 pumps that fill each worm respectively. I'm thinking that I can and this pot would have 2 exit ports for the vapor and 2 lines of travel. 2 condensers and then tie both condensers in to 1 collection jar. OR can I twist the 2 coils together and run them in the same bucket, fill the bucket to about 5 gallons and continue to recirculate it and collect to the same jar?

Thoughts and/or recommendations.

Thanks MX
