Completely agree - this is kinda what I said on the other thread. Release a downloadable design to those who donate a certain amount. Saves manufacturing costs and potential losses also.

I like the idea of a donation for a downloadable version of the logo. I am not much for logos on my shirts. But I'd use it to make some labels for my jars.

My thoughts on this are that not all folk on all continents of the world are freaked out by the thought of walking the streets in a T-shirt that reads " Home Distiller" on one side with a huge graphic of a pot still or plated column on the other side.
People from many parts of the world with many tastes frequent this forum.....and that needs to be kept in mind imo.
Two or possibly 3 designs would increase interest........."Ya can't sell it if ya not got it"

Anything that is an inside reference the general public won't associate with home distilling is a good idea. Kinda like StillIt's 'Chase the Craft' and alchemy symbology. If you aren't in the know then you wouldn't recognize it.

Not in any way trying to promote it, but I have had some really great logos and graphics made for a very reasonable price in the past on that place where they put the Fiverr in your hand, usually it's more than that but had great success with PNG. and complete source files that can be shared. I would also be willing to donate or purchase if it was a handsome deal.

I’m at two minds about it all .
I wear a tee shirt with something on it because I feel comfortable saying what it says .

I don’t think being secret squirrel about a design is going to help . If the feds want to recognise our tee shirt they will .

How the public see it and deal with it is like a ticket in a chook raffle .

The chances of me wearing my secret squirrel teeshirt and being recognised by a fellow distiller I would say is fairly low around where I live .

So do I wear a teeshirt that proudly advertises the fact and helps promote the legalisation of the hobby or wear some obscure teeshirt with a slightly paranoid feeling that I may be spotted by the wrong crew ?

One of our ethos is don’t sell , don’t tell .
And while I might proudly wear a teeshirt saying I distill .... it is telling .

I might as well wear a pair of Underpants saying I proudly distill .

Id buy one just to throw a little money at the forum which I need to do anyway, been a little to long since I helped out.

I would love to have one that could spark up a conversation & maybe get people pointed this way but with how this area is, I might as well put a sign out front. Just yesterday I was talking to a fella about a couple of my old trucks and within 3 minutes we were talking about "moonshine" and he was hinting at getting some for me. Almost a given that I will be party to a conversation involving spirits every 7 to 10 days.

Something with the "S3", the monkeys or like zed said with the alchemy symbol would work. Something that would spark a conversation but could also BS your way out of.

I agree with all the opinions on this subject, we all live through a different set of eyes and under different rules throughout the world. Nowadays, a logo share; for one to order their own unique and most likely expensive t-shirt is a good option.

Realistically? Would many give out their shipping address?

I’m cool with the donation part too. If we do logo share, then maybe someone could recommend an internet based printer to do the work.
