Table top mason jar on tap

Saw this on moonshiners s08e01
(I watch for entertainment, so let's not turn this into something else).

Curious if anyone has any thoughts on how it might be made. The narrow tube, I believe is a breather, but it doesnt enter the jar.

It also appears as though the likker would flow right to the base plate, so there must be something blocking it below the tap, or...

Any thoughts/ideas?

Yep, looks like an air breather tube and a pain to refill without removing the mason jar, though I could be missing something.

If ya build one, maybe do a gallon jug?

I assumed to refill, you would turn it upside down, thread jar on, turn right side up.

does breather tube not need to enter jar to function?

I would bet it’s full of water. Supply from below and a tap to dispense. No need to refill or invert or whatever. All tv viewers will see a mason jar and assume shine is in it.
