French oak

Post by DSmith78 »

I was lucky enough to be given this box of French oak offcuts. What drink would this be best suited to? I'm thinking brandy but does anybody have any good /bad experiences?

I don't particularly like FO in Rum ..to me it gives to of sweet a flavour, I'm sure it would suit things like Brandy more.

Yeah I did figure from what I've read that rum wouldn't be a good choice. Maybe corn whiskey too?

That's very true Saltbush. Although I probably should've listened to advice given before using cedar. My god.....
