Yes the first results using OEG have indeed given me joy and rapture. After a lot of reading, I decided that a 2 inch, ccvm column was best for my desire to make gin.
Boiler is 35l and gas heated. The column is copper and packed with stainless scrubbies for 1200mm. I have a shorter length of copper for pot stilling. Both reflux and product condensers are double helix copper that a Pro made for me.
The neutral spirit was made from low wines from four strips of 25 l of googes kale wash. Fermentation was slow during winter but final gravity was good at less than 1.
I'm really pleased with the flexibility of the boiler and still. I have used as little as 1l of 43% in the boiler to test changes to the botatincials in OEG
So a big thanks to the members of this forum. I look forward to learning more from you all.
Oh Joy, Oh Rapture
