Hi, I have a 2" reflux still which has two 610mm pipes. This makes it 1.2 m tall. There is around 300mm of dephlagmator and elbows over it so that makes it more than 1500mm. The production rate is OK.
The model is a CM with separate water controls for RC and PC. The image shows 300mm & 500mm pipes but my still has 2 x 610mm pipes
The problem is that this pipe is heavy with the packing installed. I plan to sell it and remake this in 1.5". How much production rate will I lose going to a smaller pipe? The same height may actually give me more HETPs so I may get a slightly better product.
Any comments?
