given a large wood supply why not heat pot in boiler to give a more stable temp for reflux, cost is a small consideration, I spent around $ 170 Au on 2" - 1 1/2" - 1" although pipe cheepish still cost a lot for fittings. No pot yet still looking for second hand beer keg. cheep in U.S hard to get in Australia. yes I am building my own. Too dangerous using old converted pressure cooker on gas stove. no mishaps but DO NOT RECOMEND IT. That is why asking about boiler.
