PotModeller imperial units

Post by Grundefuht »

I' planning to make next update for my PotCalc and wonder if US fluid units (Gallons, quarts and fluid ounces) really matters for US users?

And if it is - I totally confused with all that stuff.
1 gallon (gal) = 4 quarts
1 quart (qt) = 2 pints
1 pint (pt) = 2 cups
1 cup (c) = 8 fluid ounces (fl oz)
Calculations(or better say modelling) goes minute by minute and volumes are stacking up from 10-100ml up to Hundreds of litres.
How to write such consecutive volumes in proper way?
1 fl oz,2 ,3, ...7 fl oz,1 c, 1c 1 fl oz,...,2 cups,...
or from "1 fl oz" to "127 fl oz" than 1 gallon? and 1 gal 1 oz and so on?
or use pints in-between ?
Quarts?

What about for weight units? Power units?

Besides. My way of writing product value is VV@SS%. Where VV is volume, SS% is %Abv (Alcohol Content in percents by volume).
So "2,75@33%". means 2,75 litres at 33%Abv strength. Is it OK?

Thank you in advance!

Can you do it in mls … please . There are plenty of online calculators so those that aren’t metric can convert to their particular Imperial style .

Buts thats just my opinion .

+1
I mostly use freedom units, but I'm finding that it's just easier to use metrics in this hobby for volumes. Weights of grains and temperature I still measure in freedom units.
