which still design for 11 gal keg

Post by nick9one1 »

I'm planning on building a still from a 11 gal keg (which I already have).
I also have a SSVR and 6kW element setup.

I was planning on building a mini boka with a 2 inch x 3 foot column. I could go bigger but the price of copper over here is quite high.

But after reading a few comparisons on LM, VM and CM. It sounds like VM is a better design giving more control.

There are lots of designs around for the boka, with exact measurements sizes etc.
I cant really find the same for a 2" VM.

So can anyone point me to some good 2" VM plans?

Also, I can go to 2.5" but I was planning on using a 2" triclamp on the keg connector.
Would this create a bottleneck and make the larger column pointless?

something like this;
