The hospital only allows one visitor. Currently waiting as they prep my wife for her operation. Thankful to have the forum to help me pass the time. Harder to post when I am used to my iPad instead of my phone.

Great news Bushy, Here's to a speedy recovery

Thank you all, I went back to visit her after the operation and as the anesthesia wore off she was in a lot of pain. They gave her extra pain killer last night and I have to be at the hospital at 6:45 this morning to bring her home. She will be walking with a walker and has physical therapy two days a week for several weeks before cutting down to one day a week. We are going to Norway in 5 weeks and hope she will be good enough to get around.

I how she heals fast!!! and you have a great trip!

When in Norway see if you can get some Kveik yeast form the different areas you visit! Bring them home!

Good stuff Bushy . Hope she can join you trawling for Shrimp in no time .

She past her tests with the occasional and physical therapists so looks like we will be leaving the hospital soon.

Now that we are home I have a greater appreciation for care givers. Nice to have her home but currently she cannot do anything for herself but needs to be walking around with a walker, doing exercises, wearing compression socks (full length), and so on. But i am so thankful to have her home and on the mend.

IDK what procedure she had, but, my 9700yo grandmother broke her femur in two at the hip a few weeks ago, after all the king horses and men drilled and pinned they had her walking the next day in therapy. Now able to do a lot on her own.
Even in the last 10yrs, it seems the methods have improved greatly.
Throwing some hope your way.
