Im just re making my pot still and just want your opinions on wood as a lid for my still?
I have a nice pice of Oak (untreated) that I was thinking of using....
I know this might impart a woody flavour...but hey that might save some time later on
Has anyone ever tried this?
Anyone highlight why this would be a bad idea?

I use the head part of this unit for stripping and as a Pot Still- produces LOTS of flavour
