Peach/Apricot

Many like to post about a first successful ferment (or first all grain mash), or first still built/bought or first good run of the still. Tell us about all of these great times here.
Pics are VERY welcome, we drool over pretty copper 8)

Peach/Apricot

Post by rollmeown »

Hello everyone,

My dad grows peaches and doesn't do too bad, this was a bad year for peaches but one of his trees
grows these golf ball sized peaches/apricots this is the first year for a hearty yield.
They have the texture of a dry peach, and all have peach pits but kind of taste like apricots.
So, I was asked if i wanted any to try doing a brandish likker, so i got 40 lbs. of them. so does anyone have any
information about this type of peach/apricot?

I have a light rum in the fermenter at the moment, so just doing research on how to make a fruit wash this would be
my first fruit wash.

Thanks,

Rollmeown
