That's a cool vid. Is that container that the distillate is going into a thumper? I've never seen one in operation, just read about it here and on the parent.

Yes thats a thump keg .If you listen close you can hear it.Sounds like a train chugging up the tracks.

Nice setup I like that cap on top of that boiler gives a traditional look, thats very similiar to what my current still is with exception I'm using a SS cap.

Thanks for the good word .The thumper is 4 gal pot. Took handles off and soldered lid on and drilled 1" holes.I've got a l onger movie I will add this week.

how you clean it with 1 inch hole. these ole boys i no puray fruit an add with wine an put in there doublein keg to get more flaver so they can get warsh in teens. some folks put grains an berrys but you got to get in it to clean it an run it slow for full flaver. there pa an ole doc liked toyin round with one.

I run mash,water, or low wines in thumper. I hose out when done and when I'm ready to run again I fill up with water and hard boil. I built one with 4" clean out for heavy fruit but have never used.

this machine is to old for watchin movies. ole boys no some ole boys got a doublein keg made in halfs an friction fited togather. bout the size of one of them ole 20 penny nail kegs. pipes is hard soldered to the top half. ole boys aint much on one . just somethin else to tote
