Good morning everyone,
I happened across this site while trying to find answers and ideas on starting up. Well now I figured maybe I should join as well. I wanted to get into distilling for a couple of years now,not only because of my chemistry lab days with artificial cherry flavoring, but because I work at a sugar mill. I finally made the plunge into got a simple pot still 13gallon, used a rtd from work at the top going into a cheap controller(wanting to switch to a fancier one we have on the shelf gathering dust, with a 3.5kw heating element. Excited to learn lots and experiment! I have already though made my first batch and distilled some but ran out of time. I have a wash ready to distill and as of this morning around 3:20am made another wash to try to have ready. Lots to learn though and excited to hopefully make something worthwhile like that book said courtin liquor.
New to distilling.
