? on ferment bucket

Post by sadie33 »

I have a ferment bucket from my husbands beer making days, but it has a hole in the top of it. Any reason I can't ferment in this?

I don't use the air lock anymore to tell if my ferment is done, so that won't be a problem. I know some people just throw a towel over the top of their bucket, but I wasn't sure if it mattered what you were fermenting.

Thought I was just about done for the season. I was going to do one more gen of UJSSM (gen 4) and one more run of the honey bear bourbon. My husband says today- you should make a rum. :D I'm like OKAY, but I need another bucket.

Here's a picture of the hole.
