Howdy All!
So, I was thinking how top get some copper in the path of the vapor in my Airstill. Thought about getting a gin infusion basket for it. But 30 bucks for a stainless steel strainer/sieve seemed a little ridiculous. So, I stripped some copper wire and made one. It just kind of fits into place with tension. I use it to cradle some copper scrubbies. Seems to be working well, as they get plenty discolored after a run...
Felt a little proud and had to share.
Have a great one!

I had the same thoughts, re the gin basket, i did same as you stripped some 2.5 cable and made my own.
There was a post a few weeks back , above, i posted pics of my basket, i got some copper mesh and soldered it to a wire frame.
The only mistake i made was not putting solid sides on it some of the vapour can bypass the infusion ingredients, through the side mesh, i may redo it at some point, it works ok though.
