Hello there.

Post by graysam2 »

I am very new to the hobby, my first run was just last summer. Just been using a little 1 gal air still to make rum n'such. Looking for some advice on how to take this to the next step. :)

Welcome, if you want to take it up a step we suggest nothing less than 5 gallons to make easier cuts.

Welcome Sam,

Think about a 15.5 gallon SS Keg as your boiler.
put a 4 inch tri-clamp flange on it. you can get your hand/arm inside to clean.
Then you can make a Reflux column, or a potstill head for it.
You can get a reducer with tri-clamp flanges that go from 4" down to 3", or 4" down to 2".
That gives you LOTS of options..... 4" or 3" Flute, 2" 3" or 4" potstill head.
Just make it all modular then there are even more potential options
