Homedistiller was down

Post by Uncle Jesse »

Wow,

Haven't seen this for years, but the web server software crashed.

For those of you who are unix literate, my fully up to date apache core dumped!

Haven't seen that for many years.

Should be back to normal now.

Wow. Not seen a core dump for 10 years or more. OK Own up. Who asked Apache to do something it shouldn't?

Dang. Thought I lost all my “peeps”.
It’s like going “on the wagon” for a while. Drinkin’ it all in now that we’re back “on air” again.

Thanks UJ. Your efforts are very much appreciated!

Right... I was at a loss this morning. I always go straight to HD in the morning before work while I'm drinking my coffee. Glad it's back up. Was having withdrawals 😂. Thank you for getting us back up and running.

Thanks for the link, elbono.

I've been intending to donate as thank you for all the help and education I've had here, but just never actually did it.

Now I have, thank you to the guys behind this place for giving us all somewhere to be.

I hope many, many others feel the same.

Well, it happened again. Time seems to be the same two days in a row. I don't have the time to investigate right now but I will try to look into this later today.

Now I'm no expert, but I think you need some oyster shells up in that server to keep the ph from crashing the system.

I figured out what's doing it. I haven't figured out why. For now I've done a workaround and will look into this further ASAP.

+1 Twosheds!
What a fantastic time to show our appreciation for all the hard work being done by the Uncle and Admin. This site isn’t run on magic. Donations coming your way UJ.

Edit: Hmmm… PayPal wouldn’t complete the transaction
