Hi from Sweden

Good evening all,

I'm new at this, coming from doing wines/ciders, and getting into distilling with a hand-me-down "Labmaster" right now – interested to see if I get the bug and start building more advanced equipment.

Cheers!

Welcome!

The labmaster is a good starter and can be run as a potstill if you just bypass the lower cooling parts.

It's flaw lies in a soldered tiny product condenser which makes stripping runs slow. But it surely can produce a fine spirit with patience! :)

Yeah, I've done a few stripping runs and one attempt at finer cuts of a palm date mash which turned out surprisingly nice. It's really slow though, so now I'm building a TC column on top of my beer boiler instead…

Thanks for the welcome y'all!

Sorry – it's just a 2" triclamp (TC) system. Going for a VM still with the option to remove a section for stripping or potstilling, and plates or SPP for other runs.

Welcome.
Good choice of setup upgrade.

Welcome, we get to Sweden often while visiting my wife’s cousins in Norway.

I hope you’ve been glued to the screen watching the football World Cup. Your team’s playing well.

So I've heard – Had I been one for sports I'm sure I'd been thrilled. Hope the game's good!

Great to hear! Also run a 2" TC. Only pot though. Flavoured and oaked is what keeps our interest alive here. ;)
