This would make a good "you might be a redneck joke".
Over the years I've had many things borrowed from me, but this is a first.
She was feeding the youngens and needed the dog to clean up food dropped under the high chair.

One of the best floor cleaners I've had was my ex-girlfriend's ex-husband's father's dog. He didn't leave a crumb and polished the floor with his tongue. Lasted at least 5 years longer than the girlfriend.

I'm way past "you might be..."

I miss my four legged vacuum cleaners, old age got them all.

We got our last floor cleaner when he was 8 weeks old. As soon as he was put on the floor, he went around it like a Hoover.
He has been gone 10 years now.

Hoovers dropped food? Yes! Dog hair? No!

Several times a year, I baby sit a terrior mutt that looks like that.
Raggamuffin is an inside the house city dog.
Out here on the farm, life includes riding in pickup trucks and ratting.
Good thing the dog can't talk, I'd be in trouble for sure with its owner.

Probably the most fun that mutt has each year Shady.

The little mutt loves the country life.

Riding in a truck while "safely" telling other dogs she's bigger and meaner.
All they can do is run and bark but she's the one going for a ride and expanding her territory.
Best yet, is when I stop at nearby friend's grain bins.
She gets to rat hunt until worn out, while we drink beer and watch her work.

My cocker spaniel has a split personality, in the house she's a lap dog that will sleep the day away on the nearest warm leg.
Take her out the door and her nose goes instantly to the ground and her entire body just follows it around like a demented konga line.

I guess the bad part about dogs is they only last a human generation.
The good part is every generation of kids gets a new puppy to grow up with.
The current dog on the farm is Coco, a lovable and 100% kid safe dog.
But compared to her predecessor, she's dumber than a box of rocks.

Sassy could read minds and literally open and close doors when she wanted to come or go.
1/2 golden retriever, 1/2 German shepherd, 1/2 cattle dog and 1/2 chow.
Yep, Sassy was 2 times the average dog and lasted for 16 years.

I will take the beer with the boys, thank you.... mind if critters need chasing with a rifle I am in.
