Howdy from Ohio

Post by mbseto »

Hello friends...

Come from a vague line of whiskey runners - if you ask grandma where the old stills used to be, she'd suddenly want to talk about the weather. More recently involved with a brewer that has opened a couple micro-breweries and keeps asking me about getting into distilling. I've lurked here for a while and got around to starting on a 3" flute build for research purposes. Wish me luck and here's mud in your eye.

Welcome aboard man. If I'm not mistaken.. Ohio laws allows you to distill 100 gal a year legally, per person. So at least there is that. Check out the Tried and True. A lot of great recipes there. And the construction site is loaded with all kinds of information on building. The rabbit hole is deeeepppp my friend. Have fun and stay safe.

And welcome from me too.
BTW I think you will find, as in our country, that federal law overrides state law...
