Craigslist or whatever classifieds platform you prefer- there’s usually a few listings for them.

Depending on where you live your municipality may also have a rain barrel program where you can either get one free or at a discount as well. They are usually hdpe and food grade but it’s always worth verifying.

i found one for free (200L) at a drink manufacturing plant, they had kosher glycerin transported in it. I would use something that had a food safe product in it (preferably not garlic pickles) or a brand new one.

I found mine on facebook marketplace, 4 x 30 gallon at $20 a piece. The people that get stuff in them just want them gone. My guy had a back yard (a few hundred) full of them, probably got them free.

Mine are pharmaceutical grade, marked "tromethamine" sounded scary but google says it's an inactive ingredient in injectable vaccines so I think I'm good.

Look around you'll find some cheap. I think free will mean you have to take a 40 ft trailer full.

Craigslist is where I got mine. There is sure to be a guy selling them within 100 miles of you.
