Mr. Distiller user here.

I use a Mr. Distiller pot still. I continue to use the thing because I've only distilled once per year in the last 10 or so years. Since I use it so infrequently, I'm back on here annually to relearn everything I'd forgotten.

This time around, I'm writing notes to toss in with the still for next time.

Today I intended to do five stripping runs.

The first strip of Birdwatcher's wash took 1h52m that yeilded just under five cups (tossed out the first 50ml) of 45%ABV. Man, it tastes pretty good as it is. I was quite surprised. In the past, I'd always do stripping runs but this was the first time I tried Birdwatcher's.

Thanks for all the information in here.

Welcome to HD BadodaFremont, Birdwatchers is a good choice for a neutral and there are several others in the tried and true section. If you only distill very seldom BW is probablyu the simplest. Enjoy OMD

Thanks you two.

I pressed a bunch of apple juice so I will likely try the Mr. Distiller for that. A dozen gallons are fermenting now.
