Pectins in Agave Syrup

Hi All,
I have been making "tequilla" for several years now using agave syrup, and I have been very interested in finding out about the pectin content in this syrup. Since pectins produce relatively high quantities of methanol in traditional tequila, I am guessing that these pectins are passed along to agave syrup or nectar since to produce the syrup many of the same processes are used to produce the syrup as to produce the tequila fermentation substrate. Can anyone address this? Does anyone know the location of info on this topic?.
