I am from Europe; a sad group of countries where distillation is strictly forbidden.
I do need alcohol mostly to clean the propolis generated by my hives. Propolis is a great product but bees have a tendancy to put some everywhere in a hive so when you manipulate or extract honey, you end up with propolis into the honey room. Per year, I use more than 40 liters of 95° alcohol to clean the place and equipment. At 20€ the liter, it's quite a budget especially knowing that such a strong alcohol can no tbe bought in my country (forbidden) and I need to sneak it in from neighboring countries ...
So I decided to produce my own.
Of course, in between, a few runs might provide excellent gin ...

Hello Jean
What a fascinating introduction!
Start a thread, tell us more about your bee hives and exactly why you need such high proof alcohol to clean them.
There is quite a lot involved in making neutral, as we call it here, but once you have the correct kit, and sufficient know how, you'll get it.
