sugar has been hard to find on the store shelves here lately, so this is what i tried for a mash last night, not even a day in and i can't wait to run it, the smell is amazing
6 gallon fermenter
5lbs flaked corn
2.5lbs 2 row malt
4 cups of raw honey
heated about 4 gallons of water to 175f, added corn, let thicken to basically the consistency of drywall mud lol, added the honey, once the temp dropped to 150f mixed in the two row, let sit another hour, drained the brew pot, sparged with about 2 gallons to get every last bit out of the mash. when the temp was down to about 95f pitched 3 tbsp of dady and barely had the lid on before it was rocking hard, airlock hasn't stopped dancing, the smell is amazing, can't wait to run it
O.G was 1.075
I tried this...have you?
