Hello from the Frozen Tundra

Post by Tnt »

I made my first batch in 2005. I primarily do only straight sugar or sugar and molasses. I have made a half dozen or so out of wine that friends messed up. They know to bring their bad batches to me. I made a corn and barley whiskey about six years ago because my sister insisted on bourbon. She was not happy when I told her she needed to sit on it for a few years now. I suspect it all evaporated by now. Today I’m working on my second whiskey mash.

I have been using the site for reference shortly after I started the endeavor. The last few years, I have been using “Yeast Bomb” posted here with awesome results. I’d like to give credit to the gentleman that posed the recipe, but am having difficulty finding the post. I will try harder to find it and give due credit.

I am an electrical guy by schooling and a lot of trial and error. My primary focus has been in power systems and control systems so it fits nicely with this hobby.

This site has been a great reference for me. Thank you to all that have contributed info here.
