whiskey mash flavored water!

Post by The Booze Pipe »

I forgot to post a thread about this happy accident. When squeezing whiskey grains I set them aside in an open garbage sack. I also had an open "blue" 7 gallon water jug (airing chlorine out of some drinking water). These were siting next to each other. And well the water and maybe the jug, took on the sweet grainy flavor of the squeezed out grains! It's super tasty and great to drink while working.
Maybe someone else has come across this, I just thought it was something fun.

That's a cool discovery! Maybe try it with other grains or fruits for different flavors. Just keep it clean to avoid any unwanted bacteria. Experiment with different jugs and times to see how it changes the taste. Let us know how it goes!

This is the water I take to work... just a happy accident, no experimenting here!
