I'm and engineer and working on my first distillation project. Its not quite the typical distillation project seen here, I'm trying to design and build a fermenter and still that could work in space.
I'm here to learn, ask questions and get some guidance. There are some interesting problems that have popped up so far and I'm looking forward to sharing more with y'all
I'm going to be custom building my still and more than likely, using non-traditional hardware and control methods.
Right now I'm looking at separate a fermenter & still, and separating the solids during the transfer from one to the other. Also planning on utilizing both pressure and temperature to do the distillation and am going to be using a pot still. Also due to the constraints, I'm looking at using the water in the leftover beer as the diluting water (after removing the Fusel Alcohols and whatever else I need to) for the spirit
