From food bank to fermenter.

CR here. Well, times are tough so a while back I applied for my local food bank. It was an easy process and also got my dad to sign up since most of the stuff has to be given away or it will be thrown away & you can get some good freebies. I was getting a ton of fruits & veggies that one or 2 people couldn't hope to eat before it spoiled & the fridges/freezers got full within months.

So, after watching a few Youtube prison wine vids & after realizing I could use a Vevor water distiller to make shine I got to work. Last year I made around 40 gallons of wine & around 10 gallons of grain mash. That was then distilled to 4 gallons of Brandy & 2 gal of Whiskey/Bourbon type shine.

I started up again & I now have 8 gallons of various fruit mix fermenting. I've done a lot of weird mixes, currently I have a 4 gal mash of half fresh apples & store brand Mt. Dew. One of my first mashes last year I did a gallon of chocolate puddin pops & fresh OJ & some candy.

Learned a lot from this forum, hope to contribute what little I can. Thanks!
