I am so new to distilling.
I live in the United Kingdom, Manchester.
I unboxed my brand new Air Still Pro yesterday. It came with a full starter kit.
I went for the Pro as it's easy to use and not too heavy. It gives me the option of pot and reflux (I've seen lots of videos)
My friend has the T 500. Thats where I got the bug. But I needed to scale down due to back issues sustained as a fire fighter for 32 years.
I have been brewing beer and wines for years. Although unlike my friend who makes his beers and wines from scratch I have to use the kits. Again back problems.
But I do make some lovely beers.
I put my first 8 ltr spirit wash on last night. (12 hours ago) Unlike my beers that usually start bubbling away within a few hours I'm still waiting for this wash to start. It's on a heat mat and temp is showing 20c.
I was very happy with the OG of 1090.
Fingers crossed it will begin to fernent sometime today.

I'm not very familiar with how forums work but I'll get there.
Thank you for having me on board. I'm so looking forward to my new hobby. But more so in finding out new tricks, recipes and advice.
