Recommendations wanted: Distilleries in San-Francisco area

I'll be going to San Francisco for some work-related stuff at the start of November and might have a an afternoon or two to check out the local distilleries.

A quick look on Google maps suggests there's loads around there -

Is anybody local to the area, or know the producers? I'm looking to score a bottle or two of really great american Whiskey to take back to Europe for comparison.

I have already come across St George's Distillery and their single malt looks really interesting. Anything else to look out for?
