Hello everyone.

I'm in the US and a compete beginner to distilling. I'm looking forward to reading discussions and learning the right techniques and processes. I recently bought a used 13 gallon kit which seems a bit on the large size for a rank beginner. My interests are absinthe, tequila and whiskey.

Welcome to the club 🍻. +1. 13 is a great size even if you're just starting out.

Welcome!

You'll find everything you need here to get started. Read till your eyes bleed, starting with all the "Required Reading" links at the bottom of this page. No disadvantage to a 13 gallon setup. You can still run smaller batches if that's your intent, but you have enough capacity to do a decent sized run as well.

Thanks for the warm welcome!
It's good to know I didn't buy a kit that was too big and that I can use it for smaller runs. I look forward to studying the Required Reading and will wait to post outside this thread until I'm done.
