hoping to gain some information and put it to good use in NW Ohio. Mid 50s isn't too late to start a new hobby is it? Have enjoyed partaking in someone's craft (most times) and am excited to try my hand at this. My first mash-in was done with a sweetcorn and sugar blend on a small distiller and I used baker's yeast because that's what i had. Yielded a run of 110 proof, with a decent flavor.
