Pass Through Thumper Head

You guys have seen how I did my thumper top with a 2" tee and 3/4" passing through it down into the thumper, then the vapor back up through the 2" to the condenser.
So, here's my question; would a 1" ID copper pipe (& elbow) block too much of the 2" vapor path if the "guts" were up sized from 3/4"? According to my calculations that would only leave about 7/16" around the elbow collar. Is that enough space for the vapor path?
