Hey there

I've been lurking for a long time and finally got around to registering.

Built my first shitty still five or six years ago and only used it for one spirit run because it was shitty. But hey, it was almost free. It gave me the bug, though, and I build my current rig about two years ago.

I repurposed my 8 gallons brew kettle with the help of a buddy at work who's pretty good with TIG. He added two 2" triclamp ferrules for me. Power is 3KW (120v). The condenser is a DIY 18" shotgun.

So far, I've got about 4 gallons of UJSSM and 3 gallons of honeybear aging in the garage. Some is in Ten30s, I have a 2 gal BadMo, and the rest is in canning jars with ptfe disc lids.

Welcome Grumbles.
Excellent introduction.
It seems you've already done enough reading to familiarise yourself with some of the forums Recipes and Rules.
Jump in head first and read all that you can, there is a lot to learn.

Welcome grumbles

Good to have you joined up. Nice Intro...
Sounds like you did your research, know what makes a good still vs a not so good one. :) Those aging recipes sound like they will be pretty good too. Enjoy the Ride

Hello and welcome!! That UJSSM makes a nice moon shine while your waiting for other stuff to age. I like to put a shot or two in my peach ice tea with some raspberry vodka.

Dang it! I got distracted toward the end of writing my intro, and I totally missed my opportunity to say that the rest of my stuff is aging in Skippy peanut butter jars. Would have been fun to watch you guys trip over each other to set me straight. Oh well.

Anyway, thanks for the kind words everyone.
