I'm some hick from New Zealand looking to get back into making booze because I am spending way too much on it. Beer makes me fat so spirits it is. I did a bit of distilling nearly 20 years ago with my flatmates super cheap little reflux still but I've got a pretty good grasp on the subject mostly from research for an essential oil project that went nowhere. I used to make a heap of beer and all sorts of wine, the pina colada wine was the best.
I am currently looking at buying a SS 2" tri clover reflux column and product condenser from Ali Express and slapping that on a keg. I plan on starting with it set up in the dreaded CM configuration. I might make a thread in the appropriate forum with my plan once it is done because odds are I will make at least one mistake.
On the subject of mistakes, the rules mention "HPDE" which I figure should be "HDPE". Might confuse some people. Oh yeah, another thing about me, I am a pedant.
