The "plastic burner" has a popular place in the world of Swedish Moonshiners. It's cheap, it's... cheap. And you can make booze from it. Ironic that Sweden has built up a reputation of making stainless steel and products from it. But it's cheap!

! Microwave ovens typically use between 600 to 1,000 watts. So if he will be using 8 magnetrons continuously, that's something like 4,800 to 8,000 watts; right? Guesstimating that his machine (if it works) will draw between 115,200 watts – 192 kWh /day ? (That's like the daily usage of 3 to 6.5 average US. households).

I thought people separated recycled plastics, because the chemistries were incompatible. (Only PET and HDPE are commonly recycled).

Probably not, but i saw another video where a guy was working with him to rig it up to solar and if thats the case then this could definitely fly

The auger thing was kinda cool, kinda like a horizontal spinning band design...

May be something worth looking at for height challenged locations

Interesting video, I use solar for part of my electricity, you'd need quite the array/battery bank to run that. My wife dabbles with prepping and one of the things she wanted to look into building was a plastic recycling still using propane or a wood rocket stove. The nitrogen atmosphere or working in an absolute vacuum is the hard part, vapor capture isn't easy in an off grid situation either. I researched it for a while, and came to the conclusion that making booze was easier and a lot more fun so I joined HD.

I bet I'll be more popular than the diesel guy after the apocalypse.

Definitely not at a hobby or experimental scale.
I think there's better and more efficient ways to recycle plastic than to try turning it into fuel.
I watched the video but it was very poor so I can't say what it was about.
Based on comments there must be more than I'm seeing.
