Keg Build Question about for 2" Ferrule and for 6" Ferrule

In our view 30 gallons and under is considered hobby size. Do not bring anything larger than this to our site.

Keg Build Question about for 2" Ferrule and for 6" Ferrule

Post by planohog »

Ferrule Fits Tri Clamp 2"

Thinking ahead, how do you suspend this in the keg for soldering so that there is room left to use a clamp. It looks like a clearance about .25 inch is required

attached image of 2" .
I noticed on my bolt on 2" tri clamp on pot lid (not keg) there is a lip that it rides on ( place for the gasket ) or a place for the nut underside to clamp
down with.

Did I find the correct part for soldering ?

I suspect I will have the same issue with the 6" ferrule. How to suspend at proper height for soldering.
Will the 6" fit on top and allow for me to use the built in 2" ferrule in center top ?
( went with six inch as my arms, very normal size, could not fit in 4" test hole in cardboard.)
