Need help on how to heat 3 gallon copper still

Post by LZR »

I have not used the still, been in storage for several years. The copper still is 3 gallons, boiler inside is 9 3/8 inches wide. I do not want to use gas.I want to install a heating element with a copper tri clamp ferrule (welded by the outside, 1.5" ferrule".) And use a Variable speed controller / Motor speed controller for the element. Does anyone know of an element that would fit? I am open to options, should I get an induction hot plate with a magnetic plate to run the still. I cannot use it on my stove top. Any advice and thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
