So how the heck did i end up here ? Well you can blame Jessie for that (Still it) And yes ever since discovering his youtube i have been having kick ass days .....
Also i have devoured Georges great videos and Mister Bearded and bored's also amongst many others and reading taking notes etc....
I come from a hotel/restaraunt and brewery background but on the service end so brewing/distilating is the other side of the fence for me !!! I realise the 2 things seem worlds apart and i understood very quickly when i started a few months ago studying all this, but......... I kind of have a little head start as i can and do understand the process and also the tasting side . There is also the studies i try to remember lol. this being said i'm a newbie so mistakes will be made and i know i'm more than capable of screwing up lol.
This being said i have a methologie and a nose , i specialised in wines before running off into the kitchen side of catering and then management... So this aside i am lucky to be retired at 55 and living in the south of France so we have a bountifull cereal and fruit production locally ...
Will i ask questions ? of course i will , more so if i have searched and found meh too many variables , so plesae be patient ...
Where am i at the moment ? well for 3 days my first 40l sugar wash is fermenting along very happily !!! I'm not out of the woods yet lol everything and anything can and surely will go wrong but that is how we learn !!!
But the magic of it all has me ! i love learning and of course learning from errors .........
