Cooking off wine

Post by claude »

So I have this wine I made using white grapes. It is finally ready to bottle after almost 4 months. I will not be able to bottle it all and I am wondering what would happen if I put it in my pot still and cooked it off.

Yep, brandy is distilled wine.

If you don't have the wine bottles to bottle it, run it off and take clean cuts. Let it sit on some toasted white oak for awhile and you should have a nice brandy.

cheers
