I made my v.m. column.It has a 10'long double coil from 1/4 i.s.dia.tubing.slated plates,the over all length is 45"highx2"dia.
Made a water run in it and the condensed water was very hot coming out the collection tube, but it was all liquid no vapors.
The themp was steady at 206f.I know that a mash will be a lot different, but will it get that hot.other than that I love it.Thanks for all the info on building it.you guys are the best
have a great day

Re: finished column but i may have a problem
try with wash it will run different,, water boils at much higher temperature and takes more to condense.
