Rob Roy

Rob Roy Cocktail

A cocktail with a certain structural similarity to a Manhattan and also to the ubiquitous Martini made with:

• 2 Ounces Scotch whisky
• 3⁄4 Ounce sweet vermouth
• 3 Dashes Angostura bitters
  • Cherry

Mix the ingredients, serve in cocktail glass, top with cherry.

The Manhattan is made with bourbon and sweet vermouth, while the Rob Roy is made with scotch and sweet vermouth.

The drink is named for the Scottish folk hero Robert Roy MacGregor.
