Mead with a very high alcohol content, generally 16-18% ABV. Sack meads generally have a large percentage of unfermented sugars remaining.

Sack mead is made by adding honey during fermentation to prevent it from slowing or stopping. Fermentation only stops when the maximum ABV the yeast can tolerate is reached.
